With so many apps, tools, platforms, and courses on the market, you could become overwhelmed. Which ones should you use? Which are the right ones for your business? Well, the best way to know is to test them. Here are some of the business tools we use at Caribbean Virtual Assistants.
WordPress.org is the platform we used to build this website. It’s a free and open-source content management system (CMS) for building websites and blogs. WordPress.org offers a wide range of customizable themes and plugins, making it a popular platform for website development.
Elementor is a drag-and-drop page builder plugin for WordPress that allows us to create custom website designs without any coding. It has many widget and template options to help us design professional-looking websites quickly and easily.
SiteGround is our web hosting company. It provides fast, secure, and reliable hosting services for websites. It also has several hosting plans and website building and management tools.
We secured our domain name from Namecheap. Its automated domain name generator made it an easy process to check our domain’s availability. Namecheap also suggest alternative domain names if your first pick is already taken.
Most of our clients use Thinkific for their courses. Thinkific is an online platform for creating and selling online courses. It offers tools for course creation, student management, and course marketing. Its drag-and-drop page builder makes it easy o build pages and monetize courses easily.
When it comes to online courses, MemberVault is a fantastic option. We use it for The Successful VA Academy, our training centre for Virtual Assistants. This all-in-one membership site and digital product delivery platform has a lot to offer. It allows us to easily build and manage membership sites, online courses, and digital products. Some of the most used features are content dripping, gamification, and email marketing integrations.
When it comes to choosing email marketing software that is both affordable and easy to use, MailerLite is our top choice. MailerLite helps us create and send email campaigns, newsletters, and autoresponders. It offers a user-friendly interface, automation workflows, and email templates to help users create effective email marketing campaigns.
If you’re not familiar with this video messaging tool, then you’re missing out! Loom allows us to create and share video messages with team members, students and course creation clients. Its features include screen recording, webcam recording, and editing which make it possible for us to create high-quality video messages quickly and easily.
We found out about this platform through AppSumo. Wave.video is an online video editing and creation platform that allows us to create and publish video content on social media and other digital platforms. We use it mainly for our YouTube channel that focuses on virtual assistant content. Wave.video has a range of editing tools, pre-built templates, and stock video. It also has audio libraries to help us create professional-looking videos without the need for design or technical skills.
Social Media Scheduler
If you’re on Facebook and Instagram, you’re probably using Meta Business Suite. However, there are other schedulers that will publish your content on other platforms as well. We use PromoRepublic to create and publish content on Facebook, Instagram, Google My Business, and LinkedIn. PromoRepublic has a fantastic content library, customizable templates, and a scheduling calendar to streamline the process for us.
Similar to PromoRepublic, Missinglettr publishes on multiple platforms. What we like about it is that it uses AI to analyze blog posts and automatically creates a series of social media posts with relevant hashtags and images. The minute we click publish and our blog post goes live, Missinglettr sends an email saying that the social media posts are ready for review. Once we are satisfied with the posts it created, we could schedule them to go out.
These are just a few of the business tools we use. We have tested several others but narrowed down the list to ensure they were aligned with our needs and those of our clients. What resources do you use? Feel free to share them in the comments.
