monique powell
Monique Powell is the Founder and CEO of Sendana, a borderless banking platform enabling freelancers, remote workers, and content creators across the Global South to earn globally and spend locally with ease.
Since launching in May 2026, Sendana has grown to over 5,500 users doing over $700K USD in transaction volume. Sendana is backed by the Silicon Valley-based DraperU Ventures, among other investors.
A second-time founder, Monique also leads QuickCart, a food and grocery delivery platform serving over 60,000 users.
Before becoming a founder, Monique spent more than 16 years in increasingly senior roles across media, telecoms, and financial services; including leading digital marketing for Scotiabank across 17 Caribbean countries.
She remains deeply committed to using technology to solve real-world challenges in the regions that need it most.
